Wire buying

Industrial Feeder Cable Buyers in South Carolina

Feeder cable is the large conductor between switchgear, panels and equipment. It is the highest-value wire in an industrial plant per foot, and plant upgrades produce it in quantity.

Wire and cable only. Statewide South Carolina pickup, no obligation to sell.

Feeder cable is where plant surplus money sits

A single 500 MCM copper feeder reel can be worth more than an entire pallet of branch-circuit wire. Plants that replace switchgear, add a chiller or reconfigure a production line often end up with several large reels and pulled sets that were never re-used.

We buy 250 MCM through 1000 MCM in copper and aluminum, in XHHW-2, THHN/THWN-2 and RHW-2, including complete parallel sets with matched lengths and phasing.

Pulled but never energized

The best feeder inventory is cable that was pulled into conduit for a project that changed scope and was never energized. It has no thermal history, no load cycling and no fault exposure. If you can document that, say so; it materially affects the offer.

Cable that was in service is evaluated on removal condition: jacket scoring, bend damage at pull points, and moisture at the cut ends. Photographs of the ends and any damaged sections are required.

Matched sets and documentation

A parallel set of six 500 MCM conductors with matching lengths and recorded phasing is worth more than the same six reels sold separately, because the next project can use them together. Keep sets identified if you have them.

Test data, mill certificates and reel tags all help. If the documentation exists, send it; if it does not, we will price on inspection.

What photographs help us price this fastest

A shot of the reel tag, a close-up of the jacket print, a clear view of the cut end, and one overview photograph of the whole inventory. Four images usually settle every question we have without a site visit.

Questions about selling industrial feeder cable

What is the most valuable feeder cable?

Large copper conductor, 500 MCM and above, in XHHW-2 or THHN, on full reels or as documented never-energized pulls.

Do you buy parallel feeder sets?

Yes, and matched sets with recorded lengths and phasing are worth more than the individual reels.

Can I sell feeder cable that was in service?

Yes, if removal damage is limited. Send photographs of the ends and any damaged sections.

How do you verify footage on a large reel?

From the reel tag, a counter reading, or a physical measurement. For large reels, the tag is usually sufficient.
