Electrical Wire Inventory Liquidation in South Carolina

When a distributor closes a branch, a contractor retires, or a plant clears a storeroom, the wire inventory is usually the largest single asset and the hardest to move. We buy complete inventories and handle the logistics.

Wire and cable only. Statewide South Carolina pickup, no obligation to sell.

Why wire inventory is different from other surplus

Wire does not depreciate like equipment. A ten-year-old reel of THHN stored indoors is functionally identical to a new one, while a ten-year-old transformer is not. That makes wire inventory worth real money even when the rest of a facility is being sold for salvage.

It also means the inventory needs to be categorized rather than averaged. A single lump-sum offer on a mixed warehouse almost always undervalues the large conductor and overvalues the marginal items, which is why we quote line by line.

How a liquidation works

Start with a stock list or photographs. We review the inventory, identify the high-value items, and return a line-item offer with the items we are not purchasing clearly marked. If the offer works, we schedule pickup and coordinate freight.

For larger inventories we may request an on-site inspection before finalizing. That is usually a half-day visit and it protects both sides from surprises on pickup day.

What sellers usually get wrong

The most common mistake is selling the whole storeroom to a scrap dealer because the wire is heavy and the process is tedious. Large conductor, medium voltage cable, and unopened factory reels routinely return several times scrap value.

The second most common mistake is waiting. Wire inventory does not improve with age, and reels stored outdoors for years lose value to UV damage and moisture. If a facility is closing, the wire should be addressed early rather than after the building is sold.

What photographs help us price this fastest

A shot of the reel tag, a close-up of the jacket print, a clear view of the cut end, and one overview photograph of the whole inventory. Four images usually settle every question we have without a site visit.

Long row of large wooden cable reels holding black and gray power cable on gravel
Reels and spools as they arrive from plants, distributors and contractors.
Weathered wooden reels of black cable in a utility yard with a substation behind
Full and partial reels are both purchased, priced on construction and footage.

Questions about selling wire inventory liquidation

Do you buy an entire warehouse of wire?

Yes. Complete inventories are our preferred transaction because the logistics work better for both sides.

How quickly can you make an offer?

Typically within a few business days of receiving a complete list and representative photographs. Large or undocumented inventories may require an inspection first.

Do you buy the shelving and equipment too?

No. We buy wire and cable only. We can still quote the wire and leave the fixtures for another buyer.

How is payment handled?

Payment is made on pickup by the method agreed in advance. We do not ask sellers to ship inventory before payment.
