Wire buying

Communication Cable Buyers in South Carolina

Communication cable is low voltage and low copper content, but it is bought in large volumes and the surplus is easy to accumulate. We buy data cable by the box, by the reel and by the pallet.

Wire and cable only. Statewide South Carolina pickup, no obligation to sell.

Communication cable surplus from cabling contractors

Low-voltage contractors buy Cat6 by the box and finish jobs with partially used boxes. Over a year, a shop accumulates dozens of them. We buy sealed boxes, opened boxes with most of the pull remaining, and full reels.

Plenum-rated cable is worth more than riser or general-purpose cable because of the material cost. Shielded Cat6A and outdoor-rated cable are also purchased, usually at a premium over standard Cat6.

What we can and cannot use

Solid copper conductor cable in Cat5e, Cat6 and Cat6A is the core of what we buy. Copper-clad aluminum (CCA) cable, which is sold as a cheaper substitute, has very little resale value and minimal copper content; we will tell you if that is what you have.

Cable with crushed boxes, kinked pulls or missing footage is evaluated conservatively. Length markings on the jacket let us verify what remains in an opened box.

Larger communication cable inventories

Distributors and IT decommissioning projects sometimes hold pallets of mixed data cable: several categories, several colors, plenum and riser. We quote those as a lot and will separate by category if the inventory is large enough.

If the cable came out of a building rather than from unopened boxes, tell us. Pulled cable is a different product with a different market.

What photographs help us price this fastest

A shot of the reel tag, a close-up of the jacket print, a clear view of the cut end, and one overview photograph of the whole inventory. Four images usually settle every question we have without a site visit.

Questions about selling communication cable

Do you buy opened boxes of Cat6?

Yes, if most of the pull remains and the jacket markings allow the remaining length to be established.

Is copper-clad aluminum data cable worth selling?

Very little. CCA cable has minimal copper content and limited resale, and we will tell you honestly if that is what your inventory contains.

Do you buy plenum cable?

Yes, and it typically carries a premium over riser or general-purpose cable.

Can I sell cable pulled out of a building?

We evaluate it, but pulled data cable has a much narrower market than unopened boxes or reels.
