Wire buying
SEU Cable Buyers in South Carolina
SEU cable is the flat service entrance assembly with a concentric neutral wrapped around the insulated conductors. It is used for single-phase services and is bought in reels that often outlast the job.
Wire and cable only. Statewide South Carolina pickup, no obligation to sell.
SEU in South Carolina service work
Single-phase services in residential and small commercial buildings still use SEU for the run from the meter to the panel. Contractors keep reels in the common sizes and replace them when a larger service is required, which leaves partial reels behind.
Aluminum SEU is the volume product. Copper SEU appears in smaller services and in retrofit work where the existing service is copper.
Concentric neutral condition
The neutral is exposed in a flat SEU assembly, wrapped around the insulated conductors under an overall jacket. If the jacket is damaged, the neutral is the first thing to corrode, and a corroded neutral changes the value significantly.
Photograph the cut end and the jacket. If the neutral strands are bright and the jacket is intact, the cable is straightforward to quote. If the neutral is dark or green, tell us and we will price accordingly.
Full reels and job leftovers
Full 250-foot reels of 4/0 aluminum SEU are the easiest item to sell. Partial reels with 50 feet or more are also purchased. Short pieces are usually combined into a mixed lot with other service cable.
Because SEU is flat, it stores and ships compactly, which makes small lots easier to move than round cable of the same size.

Questions about selling seu cable
Do you buy SEU with a corroded neutral?
We evaluate it, but corrosion in the concentric neutral reduces value substantially. Send photographs of the cut end.
What sizes of SEU do you purchase?
From 2-2-2 through 350 MCM, in copper and aluminum.
Can I sell partial SEU reels?
Yes, generally from 50 feet upward, depending on size and condition.
Is SEU still used in new construction?
Yes, for single-phase services where the assembly is permitted. It remains common in residential and light commercial work.
